マウイセールの代理店はバーレーか。

2007-12-02 21:53:37のマウイセールのフォラムにありました。

マウイセールのBarry Spanierさんが来日して新しい代理店のBurleigh Headsあったそな。つでに12月のJPW(御前崎 菊川)をみて中国へ。

**Burleigh Headsのプロライダーはマウイセールになるのね? たぶん。。

もーバレーはもうTR4有るでしょう、中国に帰りに製品を日本に渡すでしょう。

this weekend i was in Japan while on m y way to China. There was a Japanese Professional Windsurfingevent at Omaezaki, where i haven't been since the days of the old PBA races.
I came here to meet up with our new Japanese distributor, Burleigh Heads. And of course, seeing Japan again after many eyars away and watching good racing is always fun.

On Saturday, the morning was totally calm, the sea like glass with an easy small swell making nice waves for ridinand it was cold cold coldg with Stand up paddleboards.
By noon the breeze was filling from the southwest and by 1:00 p.m. there was fifteen to twenty on the course. they had one and half rounds of slalom before the sun was going away and the wind backed off.

Sunday morning I woke up early and it was already blowing hard. by the time we got the beach they were already racing and doing the freestyle contest that was happening at the same time. how refreshing to see so many people sailing here.

The standard of the racing was vewry high and competitive. they did the classic beach start into
shorebreak, whichn made it even more exciting as that launching skill was a big part of being out
in front. and it was cold cold cold. December in Japan... and in the
water... brrrr. those guys are tough like leather.

from what i saw this weekend, windsurfing is alive, well , and healthy in Japan. hardcore too.
in addition to the racers and freestylers, there were a large number of freesailors out all day on
both Saturday and Sunday.

in a few hours i'll be in china to finalize the tr-4 and work on some other things. when i come back
through next week i'll be bringing some of the first tr-4s here so they can use them to race at the
next event in January. got that? January in Japan and they are sailing.
This is some kind of sport we do to get folks out on the water in winter. this Hawaii boy won't be
doing that anytime soon,
but i have to hand it to all the participants this weekend for their enthusiasm and dedication.

thanks for the new view and a great time.
